Recruiting Coordinator

General Job Description:

 

The Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for supporting recruiting efforts; this includes candidate flow, coordinating interviews, maintaining recruiting systems, and supporting onboarding. This role partners closely with hiring managers to understand staffing requirements and ensure a positive candidate experience while supporting company growth. 

This may include, but not limited to:

 

Recruiting Systems & Administration

  • Keep Bates’ Recruit.app up to date with all relevant information on candidates
  • Ensures recruiting data accuracy and compliance within Recruit.app and related systems.
  • Stay in touch with department heads to find out current and upcoming hiring needs:
    • Construction, Service, Operations, Finance, Other
  • Update Bates website and relevant recruitment sites as neeeded (Indeed, ZipRecruiter, etc.) with what positions we are currently hiring for
  • Follow established recruiting and hiring procedures when talking with potential candidates and eventually hiring candidates

Screen Candidates

  • Get a feel for what the Dept Head is looking for with current and upcoming hiring needs.
  • Conduct initial screening of candidates to make recommendations to Dept. Heads
    • Make sure candidates meet required qualifications and cultural alignment to be a good fit
  • Coordinate interview with Dept Head
  • Serves as primary point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process

 

New Hire/Orientation

  • Coordinate drug screening
  • Get new candidate to fill out new hire packet
  • Distribute new-hire notifications internally
  • Send “welcome” email to new hire including orientation schedule and SafetyPlus login info
  • Welcome new hire in on first day, take them through their orientation schedule

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable communicating with candidates and internal teams
  • Coachable and eager to learn recruiting fundamentals
  • Strong follow-through and time management skills
  • Interest in growing into a recruiting role over time

 

 

Proposed Compensation Package

  • Salary, full-time
  • Review following 90 day introductory period.
  • Health insurance will be made available for you the 1st day of the month following your 60th day of employment
  • Eligibility for our 401K program & Pension Plan.
  • One week paid vacation after year one. 
  • Six paid holidays effective following completion of intro period.
